Coaching Career:

Official Cricket Coach in Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan from 1994.

Official Cricket Coach in JHPS from 1998.

18 years ago I decided that it was time I stopped dreaming and started trying to make my dreams a reality. I also desired that bright cricketing talent should not be handicapped due to lack of proper training - something that many people of my time faced. I wanted to provide the best of facilities to nurture cricketing talent and to equip them to face the challenges of modern day professional cricket.

Many friends and well-wishers tried to dissuade me from even attempting to achieve such a big dream. But the words of Walt Disney “If you can dream it, you can do it” gave me the courage to work towards materializing my dreams. ”.

The realization of my dream seemed an easier challenge to face with the invaluable support and guidance of Sri. M. Ranga Reddy, the former Vice President of BCCI. It gives me great satisfaction to express my gratitude to this noble person through this medium as he has stood by us in triumphs and turbulences throughout these eventful 18 years.

When we celebrated the 10th anniversary of Raju’s Cricket Club in the year 2000, I wrote about our phenomenal achievements in the first ten years. The next decade has been even more eventful and satisfying. We have been able to see a number of our students represent the state in the under 13, 15, 16 and 17 categories. It is with unmatched joy and pride that I list out the milestones we have achieved during the period 2001 to 2009.

RCC has trained over 7860 students so far. We have started a new coaching center at Kakarla International School, Tolichowki, which has been running since 2003.

We have successfully conducted 10 foreign tours during these eight years. We are the only team from South India to participate in the prestigious Royal Bangkok Six-a-side Tournament thrice. We have renewed our association with B V B Public School and facilitated the putting up of new nets. Our association with them is now 13 years old.

We were the Winners in the Juniors Invitation Tournament conducted by Candy Cricket Club in Sri Lanka. This was the first opportunity we got to visit a top cricket-playing nation. Among the eight matches we played we won six of them and returned victorious. Our team had the experience of meeting many of the Sri Lankan Cricket stars, their National Board Chairman and the National coach. Many newspapers have covered the details of this tour.

was Victorious in the Juniors Invitation tournament conducted by Candy Cricket Club in Srilanka. This is the first time that visited a top cricket playing nation. In all the played eight matches won six of them and returned victorious. The team had the experience of meeting all most all the Sri Lankan Cricket stars including Board Chairman and coach. The details of the tour has been detailed elsewhere un this souvenir under news peper reports.

Another proud moment for RCC was when our Team “C” division won the championship in the year 2006-07. The credit for this victory goes to the captain Srinivas Rao and his team..

The various overseas tours and cricketing events that RCC successfully participated in during the period 2001-2009 were to:

1. Bangladesh – on the invitation of Bangladesh Kria Sports Pratishthan during the year 2001-2002.
